wedding invitation
By katy perry

Recently my boyfriend and I went to my best friend`s wedding. I knew it was going to be a grand affair as soon as I saw the Wedding Invitation. So much time and care had been spent on the Wedding Invitation. It was beautifully worded and illustrated and showed the attention to detail of the bride and groom. They got married in a stately home which they had hired for the day and we were really intrigued and looking forward to seeing the house. However, it was a very long drive for us and, although the address was on the Wedding Invitation, we managed to get lost. Goodness, it was so stressful! At one point I really thought that we were not going to make the wedding at all. Eventually though the stately home came into view and we both gasped at the sheer splendour of the place. The wedding itself was absolutely amazing and the bride looked absolutely stunning. Afterwards, we all milled in the grounds of the stately home sipping champagne and I must say I felt like royalty. I have got to say it was the most sophisticated wedding I have ever been to.

Proofreading is the process of reading a proof copy of text for the purpose of detecting any typographical or grammatical errors. Traditionally, a proof copy is a version of a manuscript that has been typeset after completion of copy editing. Distributed proofreading is performed under the project, Distributed Proofreaders (DP). This project is designed for supporting the development of e-texts for Project Gutenberg. In DP, scanned images are run through OCR software and distributed among volunteer for proofreading ? thus saving time in error correction process. You cannot take on proofreading without a thorough knowledge of punctuation and grammar. While proofreading a text, read very slowly and one word at a time? if possible, read the piece aloud. Avoid any distractions. Preferably, proofread in a quiet environment and also try to take frequent breaks away from the job. However, the break shouldn`t be long enough to cause you loss of concentration. Give attention to spellings and punctuation and also sentence structures. Also try to find out inconsistencies in style and formatting, such as changes in font size, page margins and paragraph spacing etc. Doubt is a key to proofreading. Doubt everything written to catch every mistake. Take nothing for granted as unconscious mistakes are often quite easily and frequently make. Proceed methodically, proofreading one line at a time. Proofreading should be done at least twice. Pros proofread as many as ten times, even then errors occur. Proofreading your own work is not recommended, as we tend to be blind to our mistakes. However, if you have no other option, don`t proofread your work afresh. You should leave a reasonable time period between finishing the writing and proofing it. Proofreading should be performed very carefully as just the simple spellings and punctuation mistakes can change the meaning of a piece ? sometimes conveying a message contrary to what author intends. Good proofreading facilitates readers understand the piece and uninterruptedly captivates their attention.
